I don't know if that will ever happen. Yes, in any "normal" (and I use that term lightly) situation they might eat her once she no longer serves a purpose. However, 1) this isn't a normal situation, and more importantly 2) her purpose is to act as a hub for the hive. She is the mind of the hive. If she is gone the hive is unable to function. Unless she has children who can inherit her role when she dies, then her death is the death of the entire swarm. A simple disconnect for a short period is fine because they can likely sense where she is and that she is still alive (hence why they knew where to find her under the rubble), but she is the hive's purpose, and if that purpose dies then they are nothing.
This. If she truly wasn't necessary then they wouldn't search for her on their own after she disconnected.

Maybe she had time to think, whilst trapped under the ruins.
The king asked her: "What are you fighting for?" She can't answer.
Then after a while, she realized: "I just want to win".
There's no need for a deeper reason

I was referring to her battle tactics, how to beat the giant. Her options are somewhat limited as long as she refuses to temporarily withdraw.

I'd say her only strategy might be to Zerg rush it.

There kind-of is, when she's slaughtering mountains of innocent civilians and also exposing her own swarm to more danger. Exterminating an enemy nation because "you want to win" is ... not good by any metric.

The smart thing to do is to temporarily retreat and regroup (confirm Serignan's survival), in order to think of any enemy weaknesses that could be exploited (does it have weak spots and blind spots, how often could it use the beam attack, is it weak to certain attacks, does it need to eat or sleep, will it destroy the city on its own etc.) and reevaluate tactics on whether brute forcing this costly attrition is the only option, having to send wave after wave to whittle down the enemy to zero... or perhaps there's a better way to do things.
