• I'll keep repeating it. Shimetsukaiyuu is NOT a f*cking game. It means "death migration". There is no reward except staying alive. Translators localize it into the "game" word because of Kenjaku's format, but the word itself is never about the game. There is only death migration and swimmers, not culling game and players.

2/3rds of Japan isn't dead. People only died during Shibuya Incident and the immediate aftermath where people were still inside the Culling Game barriers (you could see Yuta protecting them). It's just that the colonies (barriers) and other places were evacuated.

Definitely an ending of all time. It was a fun read JJK, but the lack of substantial character interactions, developments, and overall rushed pacing have me dub you as a 6/10 - could've been better, but not terrible.

What really irks me is that JJK was a really good shounen until the Sukuna/Gojo fight, then it became a pit of boredom and ass pulls for an entire YEAR and the conclusion was affected by it. I really really loved this series and I'm so disappointed on how it ended up for the past year.

For me, the series started out as a 5/10, jumped up to an 8~9/10 with the Shibuya Incident, then capped off as a 6.5/10.
While I do enjoy most of it, it just seems lacking in a lot of areas barring the fights and the mechanics behind how its battle system works. I liked it but had hopes it would deliver more. I'd like to see Gege's next work co-authored; he has plenty of interesting ideas, but I believe the implementation of said ideas and their fleshing out can be better with a collaborator.
