Again, the "consistent release" thing is a straight lie, I don't know why you guys are very persistent on using it. This is easily disprovable by going to the manga page to see their "consistent release" schedule. The guy did it is because an already translated chapter on another language is already out for two weeks, and they just upload the english translation of that release because the "consistent release" guy hasn't been uploading. I mean, oh god, how can I assume they are not malicious?? This guy doesn't tick off my moral standard card, it must have been done maliciously!! The world is such a black or white that you can only be a good guys or a malicious guys after all.

Also, why are you always using the "good guys" argument like I've ever refer them as that. I guess making a strawman has always been a popular thing.

Christina Hope was the distant cousin (from the main family) of the dead guy (Suzuki) Cid impersonated during the explosive collar/mana draining arc (the one that ended last chapter--or two chapters ago, idk, 66.1).

She was part of the group tracking down the source to disable it and gradually grew suspicious of Suzuki(Cid)'s newfound intelligence, but once he saves her and reveals himself as shadow she becomes indebted / grateful. Anyway, now she's involved in the case trying to prosecute the Darc'Icon heir, Eliza, who during that same arc figured out how to transfer mana and used that technique to sap several classmates dry, killing them via the collars, for her own survival.

Naruto at the beginning has several groups working on it, they all one upping each other. They are all of different flavour, some use Hidden Leaf Village. Some Konoha. But in the end, those who kept on soldiering will prevail. Do these snipes held on? Never. They always do the latest one, then left.

Snipe nowadays are mostly machine TL, has worse image quality, stolen translation. Even this exact case, the allegedly Arabian group used Indonesian translation, they left out "adik" (younger sister/brother) in one of the bubble. Why Arabian group used Indonesian TL? Why not Arabian? Imo Arabian scene is just as strong as Spanish, very strange indeed.

Also being faster will never cut as an excuse. People who has read scanlation for years know it takes time to produce good work. Even more when it's a monthly titles which is longer. Also we are no longer in dark ages of anime, go read something else at the mean time or MTL for your eyes only. Do not share it as of it is a work you're proud of. Even worse, they're straight MTL, not even editing it to make more sense. Like Sengoku Giga, it has many terms and history references, the original group takes so much time because they actually cross reference it, with notes at the end. But some idiot just put it in MTL, didn't make any sense of the context and really had the gall "This is my best work", then "Boohoo they insulted my hard work". We truly care not who translates it,so long as it is decent,which the previous version was.

We do not care about region locked stuff,we do not care about official translations,we do not care about other websites that have the scanlation done by someone else,we do not care about the so called unspoken bull crap rules between scanlators,we do not care about 100% accuracy of a translation.

What we want is for the majority of the chapter to be understandable with minimum thinking as per a normal human can do(someones' personal illness is never our concern)and we want it as fast as we can get it.

And machines have allowed that,no more pesky human excuses.

The only reason we knew Funimation was doing it wass because the English Subs showed the real meaning.

I agree, if a group takes up an active work they should aim for around equal to the current translation in quality. Skipping cleaning and redrawing SFX usually is a big part of retaining quality while improving speed.

I'm not defending any particular group here, only against the mentality that only one group can work on a title. Shittily done work that has no effort ain't something I want either.

Sounds like the complaints of plenty of bands who are the warm up show for a big name, lmao. Often in those cases, they do a good job, but they aren't what the audience is there for, so they get boo'd. I understand where you're coming from, but this example is a bad one, IMO.

Depends on the degree to which they are reducing quality and the extra speed, frankly. Some can produce in hours what takes others days to release. Something taking longer to do is not the be-all, end-all hallmark of good work. Even with that said I usually prefer the longer-time work, because usually the ones that do it super fast aren't also skilled, so it ends up suffering in quality. Doesn't mean it can't exist for those who want to read it now, and then re-read it later with a better quality translation or tankoubon raws instead of magazine raws, or whatnot.

I doubt many share it as work they're proud of, but rather share it in the spirit of giving to those who want to read it faster as well. Some of them are opportunists looking to capitalize on things (I well remember MangaDom and the subsequent fake identities for that group, begging money and then not following through when paid), but by no means are all of them or even most of them in that category.

I was talking about the mentality, which I absolutely abhor, and was born in the scanlation scene from groups like Jaimini's Box jealously hoarding the series they worked on so they got more income (passive from ads and active from people paying to read advance chapters) from readers and denouncing any group that worked on the series they did as "snipers" regardless of quality (and I see a lot of that same mentality still today, denouncing another person's work as shit regardless of the actual quality); not about this prior snipe. You're the one who implied such and operated from that angle, not me.
