read Akanebanashi and you'll know "shin'uchi" is a title given to "the best one". Magatsumi is the true name of the sword

Yo spiders and centipedes aren't insects. I guess it's just meant to be life in different small forms, including flowers and such.

Btw. you mentioning roots made me think of Yura's sorcery, what if there's a link? Maybe he developed it out of the trauma of surviving the genocide. They did mention it's not a type of sorcery they know of.

I've been curious about his sorcery too like back during the Rakuzaichi he reattached his arm like it was nothing. Always wondered if that might have been linked to regeneration or something
