I continue to be amazed by how many pages and how much text this series can put into each chapter and yet still accomplish so little. The MC continues to pile up titles and power and accomplishments and it's done with all the fanfare and importance of him talking about what he had for breakfast. now he's officially recognized as a legendary god tier adventurer who has no challengers. And he's the president of an ultra-power company of his own making and he can impact politics and reshape the world as he sees fit and create super incredible new products that have no equal and... etc.

I know most shonen isekai/shlub "normal" hero with hidden powers/chuuni-tacular manga are all about wish fulfillment for their audiences, but ye gods this is insane.

Also lol at him being concerned about the welfare of female adventurers and gender rights while also continuing to see nothing wrong with owning a harem of female slaves. You can't pretend to be socially conscious/egalitarian while accepting and partaking in LITERAL SLAVERY

the idea that people are supposed to shut their brains off to enjoy something is just a lazy cover for weak writing. A good writer can create enough suspension of disbelief to make the audience accept whatever they want. A bad one doesn't even try and then gets mad at the audience for pointing out nonsense, inconsistencies, or plot holes big enough to drive a truck through.

Especially in a case like this where this last chapter prattled on at length about basic economic concepts and political maneuvering. You can't bring up intelligent topics, even at a simple base/surface level, while also expecting the audience to not think about things that reveal how shoddy the writing is.

pretty much any and all of his "slaves" are his by their own decision, so you cant really call that true slavery at all... plus its his skill too, "enslave" a girl who has maxed affection for him... but does he treat the girls badly? nope... so just look at this situation as a kind of "unique" harem situation 😅

But its slavery you understand? the S word ... no, not Sex ... Slavery.

In one hand reason why he have slaves is because its a Isekai by the numbers, it have no real impact on the story unlike say Rise of the Shield Hero were reason he got a slave was because he lost his trust on people and needed to have someone as a attacker and other series dont even have then to begin and its barely even present in this one.

But on the other hand, we have current year politics and Americentrism since, lets be honest here, slaver is a system of labour used pretty much by every human society until made obsolete by Industrialization but for Americans its historical charged due to the Civil War and thus they must oppose it on the moral grounds of if not then their moral victory is no longer moral.

There is always someone complaining about slavery but to be fair, its also weird that it goes on about "muh patriarchy" (another Current Year) and have no issues at all with slavery, its like the plot is written by a AI.

Sometimes I wonder why scanlator keeps on working this kind of manga despite others having an obviously better story with no dedicated scanlator like goddamn this scanlator been doing this manga with 5.76 rating for two fricking years! WHY?!

I mean if you look at the series under Akatsuki Scans it's not really that difficult to see why they picked this series up... what boggles my mind is why people read AND continue to read what they already know as utter trash and continues to roll on the floor thinking whatever they say is gonna be miraculously heard by the author and suddenly improve their writing.

I find people bitching about slavery in Isekai mangas to be hilarious. It's like bitching about gay shit in a BL manga, or gore in a horror manga. If you don't like the subject matter read something else.
Most of the time it's people moralizing with the same grace as calling pre-19th century stupid for not knowing germ theory. There's also the fact that
A: Slavery by the MC is almost always treated as more like an arranged marriage than a master/servant relationship.
B: The person complaining often gives the distinct impression they have no idea why/how slavery came to be abolished here on earth.
