I like to go on Archive of Our Own and read gay yaoi fanfics, usually because of the gloves-off attitude when it comes to the characters not giving a shit about being on a date and just proceeding like normal people in a romantic relationship. It's humorous to objectively analyze their pacing to a long-running series like Kanojo Okarishimasu where the readers are finally told that Kazuya does something useful at least one a month. Of course, if it's a fanfic that ends in one chapter, the pacing is fast because no editor held them back. But even for fanfics that span dozens of chapters, the sheer determination to detail sex between men has outclassed whatever's going on here.
