Kanojo, Okarishimasu - Vol. 18 Ch. 157 - The Girlfriend and the Boyfriend (Part 1)

I don't know what you're on about, Mami is the best girl. She's literally the only one with a lick of goddamn sense. She saw what a weird, pathetic loser Kazuya was and dumped him in the very first chapter. And she hasn't been seen for what, 100 chapters now? She's out there, living her best life, without any of this drama in it, getting dicked by real men who don't have panic attacks when someone talks to them.
The best possible ending to this manga would be if while Kazuya is trying to get up the nerve (as if) to finally tell her how he feels, Chizuru meets a guy who asks her out immediately (because he's not a loser) and she accepts, they have a nice date, he kisses her (because that's what you do at the end of a date) and she gets butterflies in her stomach, quits her little escort service and starts a real relationship. Kazuya is heartbroken, bawling his eyes out and goes to Ruka for comfort then is like "well I guess we can date for real" and Ruka is disgusted at being 'settled for' (that certainly doesn't make her heart beat fast) and she breaks things off.
Ruka finds an extreme sports guy to date and learns to BASE jump, Chizuru goes on to have a life with a guy who doesn't think he can buy her, and Kazuya sits at home alone, masturbating to Chizuru's TV commercials, because he was such a loser that he lived next door to a girl he was in love with for a whole fucking year and even was having to fake being boyfriend and girlfriend to their own families and couldn't ever tell her, "I like you" a single time.
The fucking end, everyone gets what they deserve.

Srsly, Ruka pissed me off this chapter. She should've known by now Kazuya won't see her as more than annoying imouto, but noooooo, she is still selfishly forcing herself. Even when Chizuru's being hurt and with her pent up emotions boiling up, she still puts herself first without considering the others. No Ruka, that's not love, but a stupid obsession because of muh doki doki, you adrenaline junkie.
It kind of makes sense for Kazuya to go the "rental" approach. He tried to be there for her as a friend and a neighbor and yet she still put that iron lady upfront. Whatever plan he has on mind, i'm positive this is gonna end with a "i'm done with this. This is the last time i'm renting you".
Btw, i have a feeling Kanojo, Okarishimasu is entering endgame territory with this chapter. Ruka kind of weavering with her resolve and Kazuya's flashbacks raised some end flags. Dunno how would it afgect for a possible Season 2 of the anime.
Shit, i'm really anxious for the next chapter.
