I don't think that's the full picture here. We've seen the other guy being remorseful to the dead assassin who killed himself. So it's not like they're fully evil EVIL. But yeah, this is definitely some misguided cleric/paladin turned necromancer shenanigans.

i read the raw and yes he could even woman if she wield the sword meant to kill him.

He wasn't that too soft like MC in other manga which mostly young & too naive to kill each other.
