On page 17, when Mero-sensei's crying for help, the panel is zoomed in on the ghost's face. Neat detail you wouldn't get on a first read, but it's likely signifying the real one in the mirror was actually the one shouting. Kaya's also a little confused when reversed sensei gets up but I guess she has more important things to worry about.

Oh shit, great catch. Furthermore, if you look closely at the "monster," you see that it has a mole in the same place that Mero- sensei did, further cementing that it was actually Mero-sensei. Seems like Kaya noticed something was off, but she didn't think much of it after. I wonder if she willfully ignored it, or it's just another child-like portion of her where she assumes the work was done? We've seen that instance where Kaya was fooled into thinking the entity that impersonated her dad was her real dad, and she only found out because she happened to see her actual father with Chie-sensei.
