On page 17, when Mero-sensei's crying for help, the panel is zoomed in on the ghost's face. Neat detail you wouldn't get on a first read, but it's likely signifying the real one in the mirror was actually the one shouting. Kaya's also a little confused when reversed sensei gets up but I guess she has more important things to worry about.

Now that you said, you can also see in pages 14 and 15 that the ghost has the beauty mark on her right side and the original teacher has it on the left side. While on the page 17, the zoomed face of the ghost shows that she has the beauty mark on the left side, the same side of Mero-sensei. That is a good detail

I wonder if this mirror creates a doppelganger of the person who sees it and then tries to kidnap them (rather than a sole creature trying to get out), it'd make sense a doppelgganger of the kid would make the mess in the mirror so another person would have to clean it, and then get kidnapped as well. But then, wouldn't the original kid be there on the mirror as well trying to get out?

It could also just be a door.
Reflective surface (mirror, water) brings this illusion about how there's another world just like ours behind it, so it gets associated with a door to the other side.

I thought that'd be a nifty double subversion twist too but in such case her reactions regarding the mirror don't make sense. If the rude version was from the mirror world to begin with I think she'd vehemently decline to clean the mirror since, being a replacer in such scenario, she'd naturally be privy to what can happen and averse to providing the original an opportunity.
