this piece of shit treats kaya as some kind of monster, acting like he knows all
that's some bullshit. he finds someone with the same if not better capabilities at exorcising ghosts as him, and decides he should treat her the same way the kids at the orphanage treated him?
that doesn't sound like an egotistical self serving psychopath at all!
i wish he had been beaten harder
edit: to add to this, how does he know that the same thing isn't inside his body? am i just supposed to accept that he sees himself as normal in the mirror so there's no problem at all?
Even Kaya's grandmother knows that Kaya isn't normal.

Whatever Kaya does for exorcism isn't the same as what he did the the head-banger. He didn't get all black n stuff.

She's definitely possessed by something but we don't know who or what it is.

So, I'm assuming Kaya is just like her unborn sibling at this point. A spirit who has taken over the body of a person (I can only assume what happened was that she was a still born who's soul never left the body and proceed to turn into this within the body, just like Mob's daughter)

just before reading the chapter i got a theory, what if blabk kana is her undead twin, one that didn't make the childbirth? an then she latched to kana, making her undead?

also holy shit, Tranlators, you make an excellent work elevating the series above its original medium

Been thinking about that since the teacher got swapped.

I can't remember (or forget) whether Kaya was mentioned supposed to be a twin or not, but my current head cannon is that the being in her mother's womb (possibly a stillbirth that somehow continue trying to get birth) is using the mother as a meat shield to protect it from exorcist and is using Kaya who have powerful psychic power as a defensive measure by defeating any if not all specter around that might endanger it.

sadly, the family tree, the note Nana was holding along with the family tree and the grandma word about Kaya's mom being dead seems to disprove my head cannon. It feels like there is something in the family that connect it with the specter directly like a contract, hence why there was a mention of eldest daughter specifically and why the grandma panic a little when she heard that Kaya's mom has a child

Anyone else got teary and almost cried from the last page?
Seeing Kaya drop lifeless like that and imagining Chie-sensei's horrified scream gave me goosebumps. Fuck.
... Poor Kaya.

According to a very accurate leaker (sugoilite) on Twitter there's going to be an anime adaptation announcement soon
:meguupog: !
Damn Namu I don't think you're supposed to exorcise the Living, particularly Kindergartners...
Since Kaya-chan's Grandmother seems to understand what is in her the moment she saw her and apologized, I think it must either be a ancestral deity or some member of the Ebisumori Clan that was sacrificed on purpose or by accident during a ritual.
Also Mob-san is a real Hero, and I'll have no slander of his good name. Thanks for the TL.
