I am enjoying this new series, and really want to see where it goes, part of me doubts Masuda will end it at "MC finally goes out with the girl" as that was Sakura Discord's ending, and then he stepped it up with Jitsu wa giving us a lot more time to enjoy the main couple's relationship, I think the only reason we didn't see much of it in Sonen Hachi was because it wasn't the main plot and the manga got axed, here he is going with a very experimental narrative style and I want to see it go farther and further because so far it has been a blast!

The comedy trio are best buds, as they can chat all day. Probably have their own dedicated chat room or something.

Actually wonder if next chapter may actually be the same shopping bit, but from Nayu’s side and what she’s considering. Decent way to stretch the suspense while adding in more stuff for when the time comes.

Would be amusing if Hikoichi and Nayu have the exact same birthday.

The store clerk has a name, it's a cameo from Jitsu wa, Watashi wa and her name is Sasaki, it was a welcome surprise seeing her, she helped the protagonist in the other manga pick a gift too so that's fun.

another cameo on page 4 is Linaria from Yumemi ga oka Wonderland, another one of Masuda's manga.

I'm in nearing the end of my first read of that series, and for the life of me I cannot remember her.

she is a very minor character, she shows up in chapter one but we don't learn her name and she is basically a background classmate until chapter 144, and she remains very much to the side.
