It covers only Japan because it's impossible for it to cover any other country. Haven't you guys heard of the concept of a sovereign state and jurisdiction? For them to attempt to enforce this rule outside of Japan they'd have to have a agreement with whatever country where the server and the people running them are. And there are quite a lot of countries that don't really care for copyright law.

Welcome, we have a forum for finding manga you forgot if you ever need help with that.

And a few warnings:

1. If you see the tag "Adaptation", I'd personally wait at least a day or two before reading the first page or so of comments on the newest chapter so that mods can sweep through and add spoiler tags because this website is full of people who don't seem to grasp the concept of spoiling too well. And that's not just limited to LN adaptations, honestly just plain old manga too.

2. There are a number of lowlifes on the shounen side who quasi-spam on every comment section with constant bait. And no, it's not against the rules so long as it appears civil (AT FIRST) thus they've never been perma-banned. You've been warned.

3. To my yuri manga people, there are four or five people you should immediately block. I'll let you figure it out since it's kind of against the rules for me to point them out but TRUST ME, they are easy to spot. lol

4. Dislike scanlator drama? You can block uploaders. I don't do it because (and this is a bad hobby I admit) I love reading scanlator drama tbh.

Scanlators upload their work either on here, or Batoto. And then Kissmanga and other similar sites copy them. Some scanlators refuse to upload their work on MD, because they want people to visit their website. MD respects that, so they don't take those manga without permission. KM has no regard for that, so that's why you see some manga that are not here. KM cannot have chapters earlier than MD if scanlators upload their work on here first.

You do not understand how these sites function at all. Don't insult other people if you don't know anything yourself.

@Mr_Detective I use both site and a good half of my very long bookmark list isn't on here and many of them that were on both I would find on kiss hours or even days first (probably botted from the scanlators site). The only thing this site had going for it, and why I used it, is updating newer versions or versions by alternate translators since Kiss just botted a chapter once then never changed. Kiss botted from everywhere but claiming 95% of it was from here is silly since this site doesn't even have near all the titles Kiss did and that has little to do with respecting scanlators and everything to do with this site's policies especially on licensed works.

Mangadex is great, but Kissmanga is still objectively superior in some aspects.

KM is dead and i say good riddance, why? because while it might be a good business for scrawny ass readers, it's a really bad business for scanlators. some scanlator up their chapters here while the other do it on their own haven, but not- and never KM. so why KM got them all chaps? because they're doing a simple bot thiefery without regards of anyone. no regard to official translator, not even to our lovely pirates. I don't think there's any need for abrasiveness in this situation. The main reason people may have been taken aback by your previous comments was due the wording said comments contained. If you insist that the specific manga you followed on KM were regularly updated sooner than they were on this site, then sure, there must have been some manga that were uploaded/updated in that manner. I don't want to do the whole "pics or it didn't happen" routine, but admittedly, your claim would be much more credible if you presented evidence, so feel free to do that, as it would be

As I'm sure you realize, phrasing something like this in a way that seemingly diminishes MD, on the MD site itself, will result in adverse reactions. The people who spend time and effort here translating, moderating, developing, etc. (and in most cases for free), would understandably become annoyed if people claimed that their work was either outdone or even done by someone completely different.

We're all here because we enjoy manga. It's evident that we would be and should be enthusiastic about matters concerning this site. Regardless, your input is appreciated.
