I am the very model of a modern Major-General,
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical,
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;
I'm very well acquainted too with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news---
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.
I'm very good at integral and differential calculus,
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous;
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's,
I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox,
I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus,
In conics I can floor peculiarities parablous.
I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies,
I know the croaking chorus from the Frogs of Aristophanes,
Then I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore,
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore.
Then I can write a washing bill in Balylonic cuneiform,
And tell you every detail of Caractacus's uniform;
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
In fact, when I know what is meant by "mamelon" and "ravelin",
When I can tell at sight a chassep"t rifle from a javelin,
When such affairs as sorties and surprises I'm more wary at,
And when I know precisely what is meant by "commissariat",
When I have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery,
When I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery:
In short, when I've a smattering of elemental strategy,
You'll say a better Major-General has never sat a gee---
For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury,
Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century;
But still in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.

@ninjadork I do have a problem with them, which is why I just said they're all morons. They're complicit in popularizing a shitty website. Also, I think your recounting of batoto's downfall is lacking the key factor that it was run by 1-2 people instead of a large team. So trying to fix the site when scrapers would break it became too much for the owners. A minor quibble, but it's still important.

@Tamerlane This prompted me to read more about Gilbert and Sullivan. Never was interested despite seeing that part of Pirates of Penzance before.

Kissmanga down? Impossibruuuuuuuuu!!!! Now what will all those ad-servers and malware sites do without kissmanga/kissanime?! That's a disaster!

But to be honest kissmanga wasn't that bad IF you used an adblocker! Who wouldn't use an adblocker? Come on, it's masochism to not use one.

I think people should really use Hanlon razor here, frankly, Kissmanga downfall was because they were stupid, not some machinations of something great, much like Mangarock case. Kissmanga host the image on blogspot, which is google which they use to cut cost, and this is google we are talking about so like many said, it's actually a miracle they even managed to survive this long. Mangarock is the same, the premium system was clearly an attempt at making profit on scanlations that they don't make or own, which actually put them deep in legal sides issues that can be proven.

When MangaRock went down I was sad, but then I moved across to Tachiyomi J2K which is awesome!

I'm mainly using Mangakakalot as my extension of choice, any reason to use Mangadex over Mangakakalot?

I have notice that Mangakakalot is taking ages to update Dragon Ball Super Ch. 63...

Well im one of the few that is glad KM is gone, not bc of the site itself but bc of the admins threating people that are using adblock extensions

I was a MangaKisa reader before joining MangaDex. After speeding a week here, I came to appreciate this community and I wish I had made an account here sooner. Better late than never I guess. I really love how admins welcome us with open arms considering the circumstances of us "refugees". KM was kinda trash to begin with and I'm not sadden why its sudden removal. Their adblock hate-tread was so unlikable too.

Man I got s*** luck when it comes to manga sites. First Onemanga gets shudown and now KM gets the axe. KM suck but what I'm going to miss is all my bookmarks. Well even though I sign up a year ago I'm still new to this site so thanks for having me.
