You know, I just realised: Why do the babies have lizard tails?
Aoi has a tail that's made of hair, like a horse, not a lizard tail, so why would her babies have lizard ones?
@Fluffyfish
The kids will eventually grow up, especially notable since these two are already more developed than a human baby of a similar age, and have apparently developed their abilities faster than the average dragon child (assuming Aoi developing flight at over a year in age is normal, rather than Aoi actually developing slower than normal).
So, why should he get married when he doesn't necessarily love her? Yes, he can get divorced later, but that would require paperwork and a bunch of other things.
Marriage shouldn't be something you do because "You might as well", it's a serious commitment.
Kunpei (and his family, since I doubt Aoi has a lot of money) is already sacrificing a lot to help raise the kids. He shouldn't have to give up on finding and marrying someone he loves.
Granted, him ending up with Aoi is pretty much a forgone conclusion, and I'm fine with that.
