The thought bubbles on the last page ("There she is" and so on) seem unnecessary. I wonder whether the author considered just leaving them out. I think it would have been even stronger.

Edit: another note of support for the translator's strategy here re: "oshi". I think this is by far the most professional and reader-friendly approach and wish it were more common.

@Broken25 Waifu is the term for a fictional female character you have a crush on. In this case, we are talking about Takarazuka's otokoyaku, which were perceived as girl crush's idol.

@atsuhina I don't think a term from Korean fan culture is a good choice for a Japanese fan culture. It's like calling hworang samurai.

Personally I had no trouble at all with "oshi" since I'm big into (indie) idol culture anyway so I didn't even blink when I saw it.

@atsuhina You yourself explained why this word sounds too specific. I will not speak for everyone, but personally to me bias in this context reminds people that they are beginning to use Japanese or Korean words as a substitute for their native words, for example, loli instead of little girl. It's not a crime, but it sounds pretty awkward.

Bias feels like a more meme-y word, even if it isn't exclusive to Kpop, since I don't think dictionaries define bias as you know, what we're looking for
