Doesn't matter, at least one of them has robbed a guys ability to love for the rest of their life. That matters. The fact they're selfish enough to rob someone of a fundamental part of life, just for a tasty snack, makes them awful people.

But I almost guarantee the author retcons that part to make the fmcs more favorable.

maybe they can't control it when they 'hit puberty' but they're still living in society versus some kinda underground stuff unless some are just popping up as 'transfer students/office ladies/etc' and disappear/change cities everytime they target someone (tho idk how much /often they need to 'feed' b/c other than puppy love/first crushes that happen for 'no reason'/just b/c the other person is slightly cuter than everyone else/a bit nice to you, i imagine it takes time to get someone to fall in love with you to harvest them)

Although i wonder if taking away their love emotions make them unhinged or just like "i can't fall in love, doesn't mean i can't just hookup/go to brothels" or so lol

Dunno how much the author would change b/c while some ppl are annoyed/sick of harems, some rom com about a bunch of pretty girls confession to some socially awkward MC does seem like it'd still have a handful of followers. tho it'd be interesting to see more 'horror' stuff from the author without the comedic undertones

Well, Gaburi (the twintails one) does have a mom who's also a love eater, so maybe it'll work out assuming it's like "i've had enough 'meals'/now that i'm over 40 i'm a regular person and can settle down"

Yeah, it'd be nice if there was actually stakes again. Not just another 5 girl harem romcom. I'm not sure how "In love" someone has to be, because the one girl drains that dude that confesses to her and I believe she barely knew him.

Yeah, i mean, if anything, while it would make it even more gross, feels like it'd be 'easier' to target "shotas"/elementary aged boys considering how someone mc's age (even tho he's young too compared to ppl in their 40s that might not have had much of a love life) is 'rare', unless it's just a 'strong'/more delicious taste. although while it's not likely to 'run out' for a while makes me curious what they would do if there was no one to feed on/underpopulated

Makes me wonder if there's some super 'ambitious' idol/famous celeb, scandal aside, that'd charge a high set amount to have a 'private' meeting and discreetly absorbing love energy there versus just handshakes (tho apparently there have been some idols that do a 'kiss through sheet' kinda option that one Oujo-sama girl wanted [tho if the process is visible that'd be harder to do unless they themed themselves as a gothic vampire one])

That said other than enjoying it as it releases i imagine for some ppl it might be better to wait til halfway or when it's fully done to binge at once

I think the manga already established that while love-eaters are dangerous, that is in part because they are treated like monsters. They still yearn to be treated like normal human beings. So, I think the main character is on the right track here, by giving all of them an opportunity to have some fun.

But, it's still weird that he's still that fixated on finding the real girl. I mean, yeah, virgin high school boy looking for a chick, what else is new, right? But he said that he did not want to suspect their smiles, so... Can't you just treat them normally and see how everything plays out? This would've been so easy if the last few pages didn't happen.

Ah well, I put in too much thought for this manga again.

Not really, because from his viewpoint one girl likes him, and 4 girls are pretending to, to feast on his love. He wants to treat them well, but he still doesn't want his love sucked out of him.

There’s also the rich girl, she knows of love eaters and wants to protect the MC from them but now that just calls into question if she actually likes MC or if she is also a love eater.

I think we might need more info before labeling any of the girls as a 'victim' tho i think at this point they might have more self control/awareness of their abilities as well as the 'first' one having suppresant medicine so maybe they could go through life without needing to (esp since one was able to have a kid or so [although i guess everyone else's mother would be a love eater too unless there's something else about the lore])

It would be good to see a previous 'victim' of a love eater b/c while the initial vid the prof took did look terrifying (idk if anything was done about the teenager Hino ate?), we don't know if they became like a catatonic/vegetable or some kinda depressed shut in otherwise since they only eat 'love' emotions but i'm sure their other emotions could be intact (maybe there's someone that went insane/unhinged and enraged and dedicated their life to 'hunting them down' like the prof seemingly might want to do), b/c, while it might be sad for some ppl, there are plenty of aro ace ppl that go through life just fine without 'romantic' relationship even tho it's such a huge thing in japan to get married and eventually have kids/start a family (makes me wonder if their powers are affected by gay/bi ppl like succubi or something as well or 'male' love eaters too that target women)
