I guess the thing with Asher thinking of Siegfried with -sama then -dono is a change in how formal or esteemedly he's referring to him? Sama usually feel like it is done for people in higher positions or with more recognition than oneself, while dono is used among peers from what I'm parsing RN on how I've read and listened to it being used.

So basically using -sama initially since he's putting himself down, then -dono since he doesn't feel like continuing to put Siegfried above himself...or something? That'd be my guess over why the switch.

He seems to identify people by characteristics. So Siegfried is identified by his abysmal personality, Eleanor is identified by her silhouette, and the Heroine is identified by her lack thereof. Not sure what he calls Asher.

So the original girl probably held to the prince because he was the few who aren't shit. Then she stuck with him consistently because of the assassination attempts then the protagonist of the game probably and unknowingly undid the original girls hard work and took her very low chance at happiness. The original girl probably did save the prince and the protagonist didn't see it happen.
