Not this exactly. Season 3 covered the initial Tranquility Girl encounter - the one that made Kazuma have his current "approach". It was also out of place, plot-wise, since both in the manga and the novel, that happened when the party was heading for Crimson Demon Village. I assume they did it that way, since it was absent from the movie, but they didn't want to give up on it.
