look the only way this shit works out in an interesting way is if his kids go full Dune and somehow become the rulers of all of the bug and humanity, and this is the one planet were they forbid mutations to exist

If that poison somehow managed to do this, I wouldn't be surprised if there is equal is cure bullshit somewhere in the world
yeah, they have been so arrogant when the lady "assassin" just got to the fortress without a single problem and from the same kind of people they procured the poison, specially since the actual "goddess" is also a factor here (like the princess getting possessed), so there's always a chance

Alan's real body will be frozen, and his consciousness transferred/connected to a temporary artificial body, like Iris.

It's not a joke homie. Look at the tone and look how quickly we're trying to tie up all the threads.
Since you've ignored everything that I and others have written, I'm gonna ignore you too now.

Bye bye troll.

Pulling Alan out of the story at this point makes sense, regardless of where the story is headed next there's about 0 tension left anymore in the short term. The empire is now obviously by far the strongest force on the planet and the bugs are potentially hundreds of years out so something has to fill time here. Outside of some complete switch in direction like fighting an evil god or something there's only really few ways to move forward at this point. You either kill Alan off or more likely put him in some cryopod so he can keep popping up later in the series and maybe show up in the finale and then do one of these things:

A) you end the series with some montage style view on the planets development, show how few of the characters did and how Alan's line does perhaps ending in the bugs attacking and being repelled as a sort of couple chapter send off to the series.
B) continue into the next story arcs as usual that basically follow A's story but flesh it out with several full arcs and multiple characters with time skips between major events. For instance we could have an Cleria arc here on how she handles things without Alan, then some post Cleria internal division arc where Alan's grandchildren fight it out between themselves when Cleria dies and then few more arcs in same vein with some kind of crisis that disrupts the plan (people losing faith in the bug killing mission, a civil war etc.) and how it's resolved, bit like how Foundation books go really, which then again ends when the bugs show up and get defeated. Alan can come up from the pod every now and then in this scenario, play the part of Hari Seldon dispersing wisdom and restoring faith in the mission before going back to cold sleep. If they really wanted they could invest into this whole humans turning into bugs thing too, perhaps as one of the later arcs or as the final arc post bug contact.

I could see either one happening, or really B pivoting into A as soon as the sales drop off. I suppose it ultimately depends on the series sales.
I really hope this isn't setup on Alan being the gods emissary and then fighting an evil god though but I give that solid 5% chances too.
There was a tension somewhere?! It's one of those so super lame and boring stories where every problem is solved by bullshit taken out from their empty ass. This story is so dumb that author didn't have a problem placing conscious self replicating and benevolent nanomachines, that can rebuild lost parts of body, but at the same time can't purge cancerous cells, it's fucking comedy gold.

It'll be interesting to see what they come up with in regards to the cryogenic pods.

You'd think with the level of technology they have access to there'd be dozens of methods to repair his body.

Yeah, when she said "Nanomachines AND SURGERY" couldn't help I was like? "What the-" Like, if it reaches this point, just cut out all the damaged tissued and replace whatever with synthetic or cybernetic organs, Cyberpunk style.

If cloning a body is not allowed, can they grow internal organs and sructures to transplant? They regrew the princess's limb in vivo, can they grow a spinal column in vitro? Or instead of a straightforward surgery, cut a large part of the spine, put him on life support, grow the missing section in vivo. Stage 2 would mean it's not widespread. Or transplant his head to machine body. Oh well.

Everything in the WN past chapter 95 is a "fanfic" and the orignial author isnn't affiliated in any way. Content past chapter 95 is meaningless.

I checked and chapter 95 of the WN corresponds to chapter 45 of the manga. We're now on chapter 60 of the manga. The manga doesn't appear to follow the "fanfic" at all. Instead, the mangaka is coming up with their own story based on vague ideas the author had of how the story would go (yes, the author is directly involved with the making of the manga).

So another "Oh no a sudden unexpected thing happened to sharply increase difficulty levels".

How many times has this happen now?

I don't buy this cancer stuff. They can regrow limbs. They can manipulate energy to produce "magic". Everything that can make a cell cancerous they actually have control over.

Didn't he get poisoned before? I think it was a quick acting poison. If the nanoms can take care of that, cancer should be easy.

Now, if they said his nanoms went out of control and the can't do anything about it, I'd believe it.
