Nanomachines, son!
In all honesty, even if it seems stupid, with AI and actual nanomachines, it's not unrealistic at all. After all, his actual biological brain might just be used as the central processing for the nanomachines
Do japanese eat raw fish that haven't been chilled for worms? And shouldn't his suit or AI have a radio or ability to be pinged from orbit? Shouldn't the ship avatar have told him how long to wait near the landing site of the escape pod before assuming that the ship did not survive and reconstruct? He should know that the ship was jettisoning large components, so seeing reentry debris doesn't necessarily mean the ship is gone. Thought the military says to stay near your disabled vehicle and wait for rescue unless you have a reason not to.
There's some continuity errors drawn...Page 9: He takes the knife with his left hand, but throws it with his right (while his left is holding the sword). It's the kind of thing that's on par with drawing 6 fingers on one hand you sometimes see from new emerging manga artists.
This isn't the first time it's happened in this series, and I doubt it's the last...I wish they went with a different manga artist, but at least the story is pretty enjoyable enough to make up for the shortcomings in art.
@captain_crunch
military law forbid dumping parts on inhabited planets to protect technology, for same reason each part of ship has built in detonation mechanism. and he has built in communicator but since he's information officer he blocked communication channel assuming that ship didn't survived
@Dezaki SInce when is Raw fish only a Japanese cuisine there capacious there actually a lot of raw fish dish around the world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_raw_fish_dishes
@Echonic well an less you live in a culture that actually has raw fish dish you might not like it. By the way the MC is not Japanese, his not even from earth.
@captain_crunch In the novel it was explain that the nanom in his body handled the microbes and @Vykos has the explanation for the rest.
By the way he manga skip the part where he was studying Cleria armor he even took a piece and ate it for the nanom to analyze.
To be honest I am a little disappointed that she will regrow her leg and arm, yeah I know I am a bad person, it negates some of the stakes and emotions. Also it would be refreshing to have not 100% perfect companion.
Well he is from an advanced civilization, parasites are the least of his problems.
@Nicromatic
Worry not because he has nanobots. Literally deus ex machina XD
But, then again, for a sufficiently advanced civilization capable of interstellar travel and warfare, sentient AI and nanobots, parasites and losing limbs are probably inconveniences.
His exoself is a cheat code. It teaches itself kung fu. He is just the human along for the ride.
I am also surprised the nanocyborg that is clearly his real body cannot insta-cure meat and fish. He can just harvest the whole river and carry around infinite instantly smoked salmon.
