I don't like how the new author re-wrote the end of the incomplete original work.
Before, Clelia and everyone involved "did what was necessary" like pragmatic, realistic people.
Now, it's somehow devolved into Shonen "if you strike me down you become me".
No. Enemy leaders get publicly executed (and humilated) to raise the standing of the victor who defeated them.
And traitors suffered an even more gruesome death. Wiith torture, communal punishment of houses, everything.
I am not saying I want to see that, but at least following the original author's original thesis.
"This is what you get when you drop a sci-fi castaway recruit on a medieval fantasy planet".

I don't get it, why did the former prime minister's heart stopped and why did she say he got his revenge or whatever? how does his heart stopping equate to getting his revenge if he's dead? How does his heart stop at the moment he finishes speaking his monologue while standing holding a sword?

he ded, it is implied he got killed by the other guy in a duel to the death.
So its revenge by proxy, just like if you sent an assassin to kill your enemies.

It was the asshole prime minister who got killed in the duel. "Former" in the sense that the country fell, so he no longer held that job. The bearded guy they rescued won. That said, I am both amused and frustrated with how most people instinctively equate having one type of power with being powerful in all ways. The asshole prime minister thought that his high rank in both nobility and office made him a strong swordsman somehow. That's why he was so ready to unsheathe his sword and fight. It's the same mindset that makes bad bosses think that physically intimidating subordinates is okay, or why people are attracted to those with lots of money.
