I want to be her
"...oh yeah, three of the airplane engines burned outit's too peaceful
It feels like the author is just living out some weird fantasy rather than telling a story
From the series summary:I do think the author is basically writing an escapist fantasy for themselves
Depending on how you read that sentence, it could mean two potential options:As he was always a "girl inside" with girlish interests, he accepted his reincarnation surprisingly easily.
That’s called having a beardI don't know. I feel like the whole reason he had a girlfriend and keep bringing her up (unlike every other isekai salaryman out there) is an excuse for "see, he can not be gay. He even had a girlfriend".
As if you didn't just describe 90% of series in the isekai tag here. But the one that's definitely not a heterosexual power fantasy is the one that's beyond the pale, I guess. It feels like the author is just living out some weird fantasy rather than telling a story
Blatantly untrue.[...] that someday this could be you. [...]
Number 1 can't be it. I agree this chapter makes it seem like it should be number 1, but the synopsis clearly said he were a '"girl inside"', and not just "some regular person who has regular interest - that are considered gatekeeped to a single gender by the precise culture he's born in". Two completely different statements. From the series summary:
Depending on how you read that sentence, it could mean two potential options:
1. The main character likes feminine things but was unable to enjoy them in his old world due to the standards society puts on men, and now as Miranda she can enjoy them thoroughly
2. The main character legit felt trans but was unable to come out due to society, so when he died he was all “oh nooooo I got reborn as a girl I can’t believe it I certainly never wanted this to happen but since it happened, I might as well wear a variety of cute dresses, not that I want to or anything”
Either way, yeah it is somewhat of a fantasy. But we get tons of manga here like “the middle-aged man who was deserted by hisold companyadventuring party turned out to have extraordinary powers and gains a daughter figure” or “I came to another world where I was a loner virgin, but now that I brought Japanese cuisine to this new world women are begging to suck my dick”. So honestly, why shouldn’t we get a series about a guy who just wants a slow, peaceful life as an aristocratic maiden?
