Something doesn't click with me. I am supposed to like this kind of story, but...

Something is missing yet I don't know what that is.
The plot. The plot is missing. The manga reads like a diary. "Today I had etiquette lessons" "Today I went out for a walk" "Today I played with dolls", and no direction for where this is all going, no aspirations and no anticipations

There's already been some foreshadowing and some major future plot points mentioned in the story, but at its core, the story is mostly lighthearted SoL, in contrast with the plot of an otome game that the story's world is based on, though.

Me too... doesn't work, and I think it's cause she's losing her memories from before... what's the point of calling it re-incarnation, if you don't have your past?
well it still rencarnation just more the normal kind almost (also all memories fade with time anything you do remember is more likely your mind forging fake memories out of what little you can recall kinda like a ship you replace piece by piece till none of the original ship remains)

After reading up to ch.7, I don't think this is about trans or lgbt thingy, mainly the difference between japanese and western interpretation about the word "girl inside(mental otome)", and the context I got from reading.

I think what the author is trying to convey, rather than the mc was a woman born inside a man's body, is more like that his aesthetics, interests, hobbies, etc., is something you'd normally find in girls. A girl's trait. Namely, liking cute things like plushies, dolls, accessories, girl's fashions, the list goes on. It's femininity, not really being a female.

But his mind is still that of a man. As he did mention he had a girlfriend(who also has the same liking) as well as he's a man inside. I don't think he would find himself a girlfriend if he's actually a trans. I haven't found any hint about him crossdressing in his previous life either. It's kind of something like, normal people(Japanese or any others) would be creeped out when a man has or talks about girly hobbies. It's not normal after all. They'd expect a man to be masculine.

And mc being reincarnated as a girl is, instead of saying it's trans, more like he no longer have to fear of others judging his preferences and can indulge in his dream however he likes, cuz it's no longer abnormal. Thus living the fantasies as intended.

The story also hasn't explicitly show him(her) trying to act more feminine like a girl as her main goal, only girly hobbies. I also noticed that not only did the mc not actively trying to make herself look more cute, she only did that to her subjects(dolls) and other people(the marquess's daughter), so far.

In the future tho, we can only wait and see.
…I know that I constantly jump the gun to put LGBT themes in manga, but look at that sentence and tell me it isn’t a trans metaphor.

I'm in chapter 7. From what I can understand in this story is that main focus is about figurines and so far I'm actually loving it

Speaking as a commie, this manga (and many other) clearly demonstrated that Japan severely lack class consciousness.

Why not just reincarnate a woman instead, especially if he/she will just immediately accept to live as a girl normally? Why should the author created the MC as a man with girlish hobby and girl's mentality? Being an ex-male is a useless detail so far, when all shown traits and acts is of a normal female.

Sooo an adult man reincarnated (or maybe transmigrated) to a 5-year-old girl? To make it less creepy the author just decides the MC will forget about himself like his name nor his family and his girlfriend, but his personality is still there :/. Kinda weird how he doesn't want to go back but the art style is cute at least
I think he already accepted the fact that he was hit by Truck-kun and died on the spot, and then forced to live as another person with another body... So yeah, rather than going back and found out you're already buried, why not live a new identity altogether? Since there's nothing he can do, as he is inside the body of a 5 year old kid...
...
And I think he doesn't forget about himself, but doesn't think about it, since again, there's nothing he can do...

Bruh... Big misconception at first chapter. Medieval people do bath, it's really big misconception they didn't bath. They do bath, there's even public bath

This. To put it in other words, it wasn't that he identified as another gender, he just had hobbies that other people judged inappropriate for his given gender. There are several places where rather than struggling with the expectations of nobility, he still struggles with the expectations of being a girl and it is a genuine struggle for him even if it gets glossed over in the next panel.

He clearly has more motivation in the designs and manufacture of fashion and toys than he has an interest in wearing them himself. It comes off more as an afterthought that he will be required to put in a minimum amount of effort to be presentable as a lady.

I really like this one! It's fluffy and cute for sure it feels like wish fulfillment of someone just wanting to be a little girl and drawing their ideal life.

This manga is pointless, and the fact that it was a man who reincarnated has absolutely no interest and impact at all.
Seem like more a wet dream from the author.

EDIT chapter 12 : ok, so the man-little girl is a fujoshi now. Just say at start he was gay or trans, why all the crappy premise.

The art is good, the paneling is also neat and doesn't confuse the reader,
The plot starts slow but steady, a slice of life at its finest
I really like the prospect of the MC creating, designing, and suggesting many interesting clothes, figurines, or any merchandise. I'm an illustrator and this falls right into my alley, not to mention in chapter 9 where she starts her business, especially this panel

If you're familiar with Comic Market or Art Alley, then you know what I mean. She sells many interesting things that normally don't exist in the world of isekai (this is the reason I love isekai, to introduce something mundane from our world and popularize it)

Sadly many people in this thread choose to focus on gender and MC sexual things, or it's boring cause it doesn't have any flashy fight, The genderswap doesn't bother me at all (unless you're an activist or SJW or even worse a tourist, I bet these types of people must be foaming and ranting like it's the end of the world lol)

I understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but not every manga needs the MC to be an OP/influential right off the bat, it's a slice of life, not a shonen battle manga, it's supposed to be read casually,

It's a story about a little girl who wants to enjoy life to the fullest while making money with her hobby (for now)
Verdict 10/10

2 problems here.

Why not simply take a girl as the mc instead of a guy "who always feel like a girl?"
And why make it Isekai if the guy dont even remember it's past life ? Just start it as a fantasy right away.

Sorry, but starting like that is a red flag right away for me, and i expect much more problems the longer i read this.
