So, will Natsumi really dating with Sunao this time, not wrongly swapped with Lemon? Who knows?

Page 13: CARDBOARD: FILM SUTDY CLUB AD FOR POPCORN.
I think that is a typo.

. . . "as him out on a date"

wrong approach but correct solution? ...I really wonder how Lemon and Akiyoshi are gonna handle the "date" down the line with Natsumi. It wasn't that big a deal at the start, but them hiding it is gonna snowball hard... and also probably hurt Natsumi in the process making her think she both can't fall in love, and isn't "worthy" of love from others just because she's a little aromantic (OR just slow to reciprocate romantic feelings).

. . . I know I ship Lemon more, but still, this just feels horrid for Akiyoshi T_T

I get that Lemon's trying to hide it... But Akiyoshi, why;_;

I get Akiyoshi's hiding it because he realized Lemon hid it.
But ideally Akiyoshi's ideal move would be either directly tell Natsumi, OR vaguely answer, AND IN BOTH SITUATIONS immediately tell Lemon "oh hey, I told Natsumi we did so-and-so. Feel free to clear it up with her, thanks!"

sighhhh Here we go with the mandatory misunderstanding arc. I’m genuinely so tired of reading these situations in romance. All he had to say was that she invited him as a friend, it’s literally that easy. If Kogahara has any doubts about that then she can talk to Lemon or him directly afterwards.

Seeing as she hid it from Koga this should obviously be a sign that it was more than just an outing with a friend. So surely Sunao will see that right … right?

Because that's telling the girl you like that you went on a date with another girl
The fact that’s it’s even considered a date in the story is comical, it clearly wasn’t that. Nor is it truly that hard to explain that to Koga, Lemon IS his friend after all. Only now that Lemon hid it of course that’s what it gonna look like to Koga.

Now this will be a fun comparison, how he enjoyed the time with "just a friend" who he hang out with vs the person he "likes" and had a date with

A date is a date if both agree it is a date.

This agreeing on it may not happen before or during that event, and reasonably after, too. I recall at least two instances when I hung out with an, at the time, possible romantic partner and only after we became involved and talked about it, did we realise that those were actually dates.
Though one time it was I and the other time the other the one who was aware of, and banking on, the ambiguity of it being a plausibly deniable date.

It's not a misunderstanding though? They did in fact go on a date and lie about it to her.

Both of them are starting to wish it was a date though. This is why their conscience are way over on the guilt side right now (Lemon because she knows Akiyoshi likes Kogahara; Akiyoshi because he "supposedly" likes Kogahara, but is secretly starting to like Lemon again).
Also, can't blame Akiyoshi here too for being caught off-guard since he doesn't really know what Lemon told Kogahara before the body swap. I imagine that even if there was no hidden romance between the two, two friends going out with one being left behind is already guilt-tripping enough to begin with.

Call me old fashioned, but a date is when it's clearly stated to be that by one or both parties. Lemon only said it was a date in her head, never directly to Sunao himself. She has romantic intentions that Sunao is not aware of, only thing I see here is two friends hanging out. The only reason it’s going to be seen as a date is a misunderstanding via lying by omission. By both of them choosing to hide it from Kogahara that’s obviously what her mind is going to think. Not helped at all mind you by her getting advice from what’s her name.
