and I guess the dude will come back in present time at some point
Saved me having to say it.NGL, while this backstory fits to Kusunoki's aversion when it comes to romance, it honestly just doesn't add an interesting angle on her as a character. It's written to be the sort of backstory that keeps her perfect blonde girl image by putting the blame on her issues to other people. Not to mention, childhood betrayal tropes are dime a dozen and how it is executed on this one is pretty cliche. It's so cliche that it's on brand with how cliche and bland Kusunoki's character is.
Nah. She just has bad dice luck and her Wisdom mod is -4.So Kusunoki has the tism?
You nail it perfectly. I don't see a reason why Kusunoki would even make a move on Keisuke knowing the fact that she already knows how Moe feels for Keisuke. She's been characterized to be handed in a silver platter and all the popularity that she got is thanks to Keisuke's efforts. She already achieved what she wanted, having a perfect blond girl image, which makes her character arc essentially complete.Saved me having to say it.
This doesn't even set up a reasonable path for Kusunoki to have developed romantic feelings for Keisuke - she didn't get love then, and she doesn't get it now, and all this does is set her up for history to repeat between herself, Moe, and Keisuke.
She still doesn't know her feelings in the present, and now she has all the reason possible to reject and run from the situation entirely, lest she risk the friendships she has.
Let's hope she activates a yandere side or something and has an epic battle with snek girlCan it get more generic than this?
The chapter's TITLE is bad enough, makes you cringe. This tired, bothersome cliche.
I will reiterate, the problem with Kusunoki is that she's just BORING. That's why the other girls are so much more interesting....
