Gonna assume Edelweiss was always a demon, or something. They remark about how surprising it is for one of the demons to have "hidden", so I think it's likely that this demon wasn't just running around flaunting an army like this + Takeru just didn't notice it. So she just revealed herself after Takeru's death. Though, it could also be a corruption situation where she wasn't aware of the demon inside her, or something.

Otherwise, it's pretty suspicious how everything was shown in a flashback, except the thing that would hurt him the most (Edelweiss's death), tbh.

Honestly though the most suspicious part of this whole chapter is the prime minister's death, which makes it look like he was also possessed by something. Smells like the start of a "actually angels exist and are even more evil" kind of plot, with how he starts talking about God afterwards, and they wouldn't introduce a third faction like that if they weren't also evil.

It is going to be that, because MC is berserk now, so probably that Flame girl is going to get injured in trying to stop him, but no one would die.

That's because it is already hinted that even Demons aren't the real antagonist of this Series.
It's something else, which was manipulating the Prime Minister so that MC would get executed in that Isekai World.

i'm still not fully convinced edelweiss is dead yet but i'm also not convinced she's calmia now. i guess edelweiss COULD in theory be the black knight (either willingly or not) but i don't think it's ever been shown that she's THAT good with a sword. calmia and edelweiss having similar voices apparently is huge but it could just be a coincidence idk.

I mean, how many years had it passed in the Isekai since MC was executed there.

And if Edelweiss really survived, how did she survive and what had happened to her now.

Keep in mind that MC was sent back 40 years into the future on Earth after his execution in Isekai.
So, there is a possibility that there might be time lag in Isekai as well compared to current time.

Idk how I feel about the Prime Minister being a puppet that executed Takeru. Like I get there should be some sort of big bad that he has to face eventually so this sets that up but brainwashing just feels so bland. Would've rather he been manipulated by someone behind the scenes even if thats also overdone. Also the princess never explicitly said she offed the Saintess so could just be provoking him to see how powerful he really is

kinda feels like he was possessed by an angel rather than being brainwashed.

Well ... 3rd party is obviously gonna be the big bad, but its interesting how the demons are gonna be "redeemed", they dont seem to be even morally gray, so they just probably wont be?

Rage mode is always fun, but as pretty much everyone mentioned, there is no true setup, no tension so nothing will really go down.

But hey childhood "friend" was there with him in the demon lord castle so now his story holds much more water than before.

Why do i have the feeling that A:
Edelweiss isn't dead but the demon princess, no matter who she is, knows how the MC would react and B:
that the demon princess has some intention to get the mc to do something that allows her to get the mc's soul out of the other takeru's body?
