@CaTastrophy427 Thats actually exactly why translator notes exist. To explain these types of cross culture "miscues"?, if thats the write word for it. The reason it shouldnt be translated which i didnt adequately explain, because i didnt want to spoiler more than i had to, is because he doesnt actually get the joke. Everyone else including us the reader are supposed to get it but keima doesnt. Without going into spoilers he doesnt understand this worlds language, all he has is an "auto translator" which doesnt always translate things how he expects. So when he asks whats her name, it gets roughly translated to what do i call you. Then he hears i am called niku when she actually means i am slave. I dont if i explained that enough but i didnt think the manga did a good enough job explaining that whole situation and why when everyone else is in on the joke he isnt.
