is anyone else tired of boring, low effort manga that is very clearly just some loser's weird fantasy? every other new release is some poorly written loser bait and it's getting really tiring having to sift through all of it.

Yeah, it's pretty tiring.
I think the problem here is that we have access to most of the library of what exists as japanese mangas, which includes 99% garbage.
Pretty sure the problem isn't even unique to Manga, just think about the bargain bin books that you question anyone reading, but usually the bad works get forgotten quickly, so survivorship bias makes the good works the only ones remembered.

On the other hand though, I kinda do wonder why these works get translated at all and posted on manga sites.
