Whatever I was expecting, it was not this.

I am so confused right now: Ena is or was Hasumi, even though she acts really experienced for a cupid and Hasumi was seen alive a few months ago. Not to mention how their personalities don't match up at all; Ena is very no-nonsense, while Hasumi is said to be very sensitive and artsy. Furthermore, reincarnation should have taken a few years at least. Finally, Touma says that Hasumi's injuries weren't serious.

My theory is that Ena prefers to act extremely methodically, going so far as to disguising herself as Hasumi to try to know more about everyone related to her missions. She mentions that she has worked on Kitano-san's class for a long time, and has definitely been in the school for a while.

My second theory is that Ena is the family name, while Hasumi is the first name. In this case, Hasumi is likely to be a sibling of Ena's; maybe that's why Ena cares so much about this mission and will angrily engage Chiyo in battle. However, This doesn't match up with the cupid name of Koharu, which erases Sakurada Koharu's family name (Sakurada) instead of her first name (Koharu), but I digress.

But every time that Ena would hide her wings to be a part of the class, she has to bring them out and then everyone forgets about that person.

Koharu Sakurada is the human name of Koharu the Cupid. Chapter 1 the Scanlator says in the credits that Sakurada is the surname and explains the kanji meaning. I know the entry for Koharu and all cupids purposely blotches out the birth name so you can’t tell the order of given and surname but Aki-Chan says “Koharu”. They also blotched out Koharu’s full name in the Cupid Previous Objects of Affection. I think Ena is the given name, and Hasumi-san the human looked too similar to Ena to be a sibling.

Ena-san has a base, has weapons that seem to have cost A LOT of karma- maybe you can be reborn as a Cupid before your death so that by the time you have enough karma to retire from the gig, you’d be reincarnated around the same time as your death…..? But why don’t the students know “Ena” died? Hmm I actually just reread chapter 2 and if Ena were to reincarnate, it would have to be in present day while everyone else around her grew up. So this time travel stuff doesn’t make sense. We also don’t know how the Goddess’s blessing works. If in the Koharu example she’d go back to being the age of a high schooler while her classmates and Aki would be university, then the history between Aki and Koharu would be erased to correct a timeline like that….

why is everyone acting like love bullet is already safe from axing? judging from engagements on inee's posts and everything related popularity has dropped tremendously in comparison to it's peak days when the "save love bullet" campaign has been happening. i guess after the english publication many people now think it's saved? but the thing is japanese publishers don't care about sales outside japan. it's still better to buy japanese version and now that the volumes are available in english, japanese sales are gonna drop. i hope inee notifies us if love bullet needs saving again. sorry for this little rant i just love this manga and got a bit concerned bc it'd suck if love bullet got axed

Because this takes place in 2023 but Ena has been a cupid longer than Koharu who died in 2018 and she woke up 5yrs later.

How has she got soooo much experience if she's only been a cupid for months???

My theory is that Ena has been pretending to be a member of the class and doesn't want people contacting the hospital because...she's not actually in the hospital, she's a cupid and a little landslide isn't gonna actually put her there. So not contacting the hospital is mostly not exposing her lie that "Hasumi-san is in the hospital"

I think the most likely explanation is that Ena is a relative from an older generation who died young, and Hasumi Ena was named in her memory. I don't know if that's a common thing in Japan, it seems like it could be considered bad luck, but it's also possible you could give someone a name with the same reading but different kanji. Since cupid names are written in katakana with the kanji scribbled out it would be an easy thing to hide.

For Ena’s lineage to go on, since obviously Ena didn’t have children it would have to have been a sibling of Ena’s.

I wouldn’t say everyone is acting like it’s safe. Personally I already pre ordered the manga, but are you referring to these conversation comments or is it just an observation you’ve made reading other chapters’ comments?

I'm glad someone else caught all that. They can't be the same person, doesn't make sense for the way the world building has been set up.
