I think the Former King plot has just about played itself out by this point, unless the manga changes things the Foxes end up in Hiya's inner world anyway. Flio not ending this nonsense that he is completely capable of doing is irritating though. If he was doing this to heal the rift between demons and humans by having them capture the Former King together would be one thing, but he is entirely too content to just let this dude keep fucking things up for him, his business, his family and his friends.

plot armor seems to be more prevalent in real life for the biggest villains. I mean do you know how many times people made intricate plots to end the leader of Germany during the end of the first third of the 20th century, had while they were rising to power, and once they came to power, and in the end they did it themselves after all those attempts failed. I mean even another recent leader has had multiple attempts and only got scratched on the ear.
Just based on that I wonder what horrible things Mr. Magoo did in his life to have such thick plot armor.

To be fair, the wyvern did say that it took a long time and considering you needed a ton of the dark aura thingy, something humans can't survive exposure to or really control until MC appeared, even if they tried researching it, they wouldn't be able to figure out how it is formed for the simple reason of "they would die before anything happened".

Not sure the knowledge of process of pulling oil from the ground and refining it into it's constituent fuels and byproducts is all that important the person designing and building an ICE. At most they choose an available fuel/energy source and start developing their engine from there.

Thats not to say there isn't some other person researching new and better refining methods to process crude oil, only that most engineers designing engines wouldn't need even surface knowledge of the oil refining process to preform their job.
