Final chapter better have him walk passed the room, only for it to be boarded up and for sale. He'll feel melancholic about it, remembering all the times he spent with her. But she's moved on, to better places hopefully. As he comes home, he let's out a deep sigh, knowing those days will never come again...
He opens the door and mumbles out, "I'm home." Only to be greeted by Madoka, now his wife, who has somehow changed their entire 1 bedroom apartment into a cozy beach resort. Their two children running back and forth collecting shells.
He puts his brief case aside and takes the pair of swimming trunks his loving spouse has laid out for him. As he runs to join the kids, the door begins to close. We catch a glimpse of Madoka standing in the entrance. She looks towards the reader and for a brief moment we see her true, hideous, cosmic form. The door closes and the author thanks us for sticking with it the whole way.
