Somehow pisses me off a little how Azz did all the heavy lifting and Iruma didn't do shit but once Azz reassured her of their loyalty Iruma just waltzes in and puts out his hand like he did 50% of the work.

Yaay, I knew this was going to be a "talk it out" solution. Makes sense that it was Azz that got her out of it too. Her evil cycle was fueled by her insecurity on their friendship so the one whose friendship she was most insecure over had to be the one to convince her, not "I'm nice to pretty much everyone"-Iruma

Also that "We'll search for Iruma together no matter how many centuries it takes" hit me right in the kokoro

And looking forward to reading all the "Azz and Clara hunt for Iruma in the human world" fanfics that are definitely coming out of this.

I just can't ship them at all. "I am your Soulmate" only made me feel uncomfortable.

I mean, kinda same? Even Alice there didn't say more than "we'll look for Iruma together". That's, at most, a very definitive polycule thing, than any particular romantic affection he feels for Clara.

And at the least, it is just declaring that they would remain (all three of them) besides one another, and look for ways to bring whoever might leave back together with the rest.

He didn't deny that Iruma is the thing that keeps them together, and a much better question is whether they would even be together if Iruma was never around (before or after). The answer is a very clear no, but making her not wonder over hypotheticals and value the weird yet strong relationship between all three of them (and maybe helping her realize the bonds she has with some of the girls in the Misfit class as also valuable relationships) would be a stronger resolution over this one.

To me, it glosses over the core of Clara's issue, not having fit anywhere before and fearing to return to that, to focus on the specifics of losing her most precious relationship besides her family - and feels equally as weird as the resolution of the long-eared tribe's issues. A resolution that isn't actually addressing the core of the issue, yet with the presentation showing them as definitive.

At least the core of the writing remains enjoyable.

That was a very touching chapter. At the same time, I couldn't help but chuckle at the way Pitch-Black Clara got sidelined by regular Clara as soon as she started bickering with Azz.

Also, I don't think the "We'll search for him together" line is foreshadowing, or at least I don't think it's foreshadowing Iruma leaving. Rather, I think it's setting up more explicit parallels between Azz + Clara and Sullivan + Poro, so we can then see how they differ from their predecessors, in the same way that Iruma was setup to parallel Delkira so Kishi could then highlight their differences.

The idea of Iruma's disappearing and Narnia's plan makes me think that Narnia will expose Iruma, appear to deport him, but he is saved by Baal in secret to get access to the Derkila mana in Iruma's possession.

Oh yeah, Azz saying what he said about if on the very miniscule chance Iruma disappeared they would go find him feels like foreshadowing that he WILL disappear somewhere. Whether it is that he is kidnapped or his secret of being a human is exposed and then sent back to the human world remains to be seen.

I can see it that if he does get sent back to the human world that everyone who knows him at this point will leave the netherworld for a bit to go get him in the human world. I've been wondering if we are heading towards this as the way for Iruma to know that those he holds dear to him accept him as a human. At the very least I can see Azz, Clara, and Ameri going after him...possibly the rest of the misfit class as well as Sullivan (again) and Opera. But as you said it would close out the whole thing with his secret, he will return to the netherworld where he belongs, and everyone will know he is human and accept him for who he is.

If this does happen, I expect it’ll be right before the final arc. Bad guy sends him away And then takes over the underworld as the new demon lord. Iruma s classmates go to rescue him and accept him for who he is. Giving him the drive to go back, kick the demon lord’s butt (Along with the butt of every demon who is now supporting him Which might be every demons since the demon lord is all powerful and must be obeyed). And ultimately ends with Iruma taking the throne for himself and making all his classmates one of the 13 crowns

So if Iruma disappeared then this would be very bad for Azz-kun and Clara and even for the other members of the abnormal class, because Iruma is the core or as Clara said and with Azz-kun their glue, everyone would revolt and go to the human world to look for Iruma. This is after that parchment/scroll that Narnia had with some chapters behind the deportation to the human world.


Or the alternative regarding the deportation to the human world by Narnia would be the kidnapping of Iruma by a member of the terrorist organization the 6 fingers.


Azz-kun and Clara are like a couple in the first weeks/months of their relationship.
