I hate this design!!! Why there is no way to return to the previous? The frontpage stopped working in my old browser altogether because of flexbox CSSes so I needed to override some to at least see the content and other pages all over the place. ((((

I've noticed that the chapters on the main page of a manga now looks like this this when in portrait mode (on an iPad), which looks very clunky to me. Is there any method to have it display like this instead when in a portrait orientation?

EDIT: I've also noticed this big red "Back to Top" button on mobile, is there a way to turn that off permanently? I find it very distracting.

Okay, I understand your design reasoning now. Once I got all the options up and running, your new Manga reader worked about the same as the old Manga reader, if not better. (except for the centering of the image, but no dead horse right now). I still think it's too unorthodox and I agree to disagree on some of your design choices.

The most important thing though is, It took me an extra 6 steps and I still got the px container width constraint wrong on my laptop computer. It also took me an hour or two to learn the new system. A lot of people WILL give up and go back to the Mangadex Legacy Manga reader.

When I tested your new Manga reader on my phone and Tablet, I was shocked how much easier it was there, just pull open browser, open mangadex, there you go, front and center, image resized for you, no log in or option fiddling required. The Computer Version. . . is crippled and is the version I've been complaining about the whole time.

For the Laptop and computer, there's WAYYYY too many advanced options displayed upfront for the New Manga Reader. People are gonna be VERY lost or forced to log in to remember their old options that worked, use the old Legacy Mangareader or they know which options to choose but it takes them extra steps to re-select them on the computer. And they might still not get the manga viewer settings right. That's bad. . . . . it used to take people two or three clicks to start reading a manga chapter, now they have to jump through hoops and not just one time, they have to repeat tasks over and over again daily to use the new Mangadex V3.

I think adding a user friendly/ resizing for dummy options that are mostly one click that resize the images into the old per-determined bootstrap containers you used to use would help people.

Updates look fine to me, pages are a bit buggy tho. Viewer is entirely different but i'll just tweak it up with the options.

Why can't I read anything???...
There's NOTHING appearing upon clicking the new chapter...
I like the old one...why change???...
Now I might switch back to mangakakalot it might not be updated that fast (chapters) but at least I can read the comics/manga whereas in here there's NOTHING at all...
How to operate this upgrade???...HELP!!!...I've been trying since morning...

@Robosox Consider upgrading your browser. Flexbox has been supported by many major browsers for quite a while.

@w4tchdoge That mobile view two column layout was necessary to display all the information without requiring mobile users to scroll horizontally. Improvements have been given to Holo over three weeks ago for that view so please bear with it until those are implemented whenever he chooses to add the fixes.

Those are likely some stray error 500s. It's not an issue with the reader, but the rather the site itself. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is continue refreshing until it works.

Hopefully Holo finds a fix for them soon as they are frustrating.

@_das: Upgrading browser on old PC is not an option because modern browsers are horrible memory hogs. Or will you suggest me to upgrade PC too? Well...

Also the browser I use (Opera 12) supports generic flexboxes. It's just this particular site fails (probably something to do with % parameters).

There's just not enough space for it. You would be looking at something like

They're not all memory hogs. Try a modern lightweight browser like Vivaldi and report back.

Hey about switching to legacy, once I do it and click save, it just says saving and never completes the action. Also I'm on mobile and a lot of people having this problem
