It would be neat to have a "show unread pages only" option for "follows" page, so that you can filter out the ones you read, and only show the ones you haven't read (or accidentally missed).

First, thank you for the hard work ,and for bringing this site to life and continuously maintaining it.

I don't know much but I do enjoy the current MD. Don't add to much features that could cause unsuitability to the site. Its good enough that we can create account and read stuff online. It works fine both on pc and mobile. I couldn't ask for more.I like the way it is, simple and easy.

In regards to extra information on the manga itself, I like it already, just link MAL entry or any other platform that supports the same service would be enough, how hard could it be to just click a link. Its fine the way it is. MD's main goal is to host a site for "volunteered" scan work for fans. If you need big chunks of data of the manga itself look it up.

I would like if there was a "Not interested" label. Currently, if I'm not interested in a manga, I have to put a "dropped" label on then. I would like to make the distinction between tittles that I've stopped reading and tittles that I don't want to read at the moment.
I would also like to see these labels when I'm browsing the home page.

Okay, so I feel like the comment sections are a jumble

It'd be nice to be able to answer comments, so that longer multiple comment long discussions won't become a mess.
Cus now they get spaced out with other comments, and because you're unable to see what something is replying to, you either need to go back and check, searching by the tagged name or just simply scroll through it and don't care.
It'd help tremendously if someone finds an interesting conversation and either wants to join in or just read trough it.

From the other side, it can get really annoying to see a few people going ham about something that you don't care about and so you need to scroll through a lot of comments that you're not interested in. If you could reply, the replies could be expandaple.

Also, pls make it so that the comments have a standard size and if they're bigger than that, then you need to expand them.
Right now, if there are multiple paragraph long comments on the page it just shows them all in full length wich can get annoying to scroll through.

If the "read older comments" button could be placed at the top of the page, so you don't have to scroll to the bottom of the page every time you want to read older comments, that'd be nice.

Also, the ability to change how many comments are displayed on a single page 'd be useful.

My only concern for the update is making sure the legacy reader is still an option. The default reader doesn’t allow me to press and open pages in a new tab on iOS, which means I’m unable to save the image to crop it for a tweet or sending the whole page to a friend or whatever. Without the legacy reader, I’d have to screenshot the page, like some sort of barbarian

Guess I’ll bring up this elephant in the room, hentai needs to go. As cool as it is that mangadex allows mature content on the site, it’s clear that there are dozens of other sites that do pornography better. Now I’m not saying to ban hentai, but rather to simply ignore it’s issues on the site, as the time that’s going into its feature set, like a new tagging system, is distracting from the piles of other issues that could be tackled.

Searched the existing replies and didn't see this but:

I browse on a laptop with a typical 1366x768 resolution, so I love the max container width option as the alternative is tiny pages (fit to height) or extremely wide single pages.

Unfortunately this makes double spread pages too small, so something to detect double pages and display at full/container width would be great

Rejected, "het" or any other form of the word straight ain't really an established genre like girl's love or boy's love, in the same way that isekai exists but we wouldn't make a tag for content featured in "this world" or a "humans" tag because monster girls exists. The exceptions are what get tagged

Problem found: Rating bombers.

Multiple accounts who only hit +10 or +1 on manga, distorting ratings.

We're going to automatically add mangas to people's follows if they rated it and see how that goes.

Both rejected because we don't plan on adding MC tags because people would want a million of them (use MangaUpdates), what's LITRPG?, depends on our format, planned, planned

Not sure how this could be set up, but perhaps it could just be a toggle for the current interface.

You're free to argue about the usage of term elsewhere, but the Loli tag on MangaDex specifically not inherently implying hentai or sexual content is not an opinion, it is indeed a plain fact
