Hi, I'm just new to this website. I came here because mangago is temporarily closed. I know mangago is an illegal site to read manga but... Is mangadex legal?

Aside from official sites like Mangaplus, Crunchyroll, Amazon, Webtoon, Tapas, Tappytoon etc the rest of any online manga reading sites are illegal, or at least in grey area. MD stands out in the facts that:
- They don't steal translations and actually respect translators
- They respect publishers' requests
- No ads or scam links or virus
