People complain about the manga, but the issue is the trad team that cut weekly chapter in two and release one part per month.
This entire tournament should've been finished in two month.

I'd suggest either leaving it alone until it gets past it, or just read the WN and skip past the parts that aren't interesting. There's a lot of fluffy times between major arcs. And a few arcs that contain it as well.

What's the point of reading a story if you skip all the plot? This arc is usefull for the plot, we see MC finaly starting to learn how to fight proprely in the tournament.
There is also the plot with the demon country, this plot is linked with the demon who attacked the human. And all these plot are linked to how MC is doing his best to make sure his family and Neil can live without being in danger.

It would be best for them to read "real" slice of life seinen and josei.
They are made with only "cute and fluffy". If they dont want all the acting it'll better for them, and for the author since it's a realy niche market.
