Ahh... there's always gotta be a bloodthirsty demon like Edel around. But idk why, I feel like Schmerz is gonna misunderstand Lieselotte again. He'll probably end up doing something stupid again just like in the previous chapters :haa:

I understand all the outside pressure and whatnot, but fundamentally speaking, punishing translators for these DMCA’s is a one way trip to obsolescence for Mangadex, because the site is entirely based on these translators providing unofficial translations. If all that’s going to be left is just a few creators posting their own works on Mangadex but mostly corporations mass dumping links to their own paywalled online site, it’s over.

had to block one that was flooding the site with their links, it was so annoying, it hides away new works

Host sites backstabbing their own communities is par for the course, unfortunately.

God, the more I learn about Lieselotte, the more of a fucking idiot she turns out to be.

She'd cripple opponents and let them go, but wasn't paying enough attention to prevent her obviously more bloodthristy subordinates from jumping and killing her victims? And she didn't actually reprimand the subordinates in any way that mattered?

Weird the kingdom doesn't seem to hold the deaths against her. Being (indirectly) responsible for the death of every party that challenged the demon king is a way bigger deal than some roses.

This might be one of those instances where characters are only as smart as the author, though.

They were at war at the time? And if all human witnesses are dead, no one would be able to tell if it was her insubordinate subordinate that did it.

I suspect a potential for a trap, not just harassment. Edel's leaving those marks on purpose, because she knows Liese recognizes it.

Correct, the humans wouldn't know that it was technically someone else that killed the humans. The humans should be blaming her for all of the groups that went to her castle and never came back.

It seemed like the humans knew she was the defender, at least. I assume the scouts who never fought her still made it back home.

Writing the second part was a mistake and I regret it.

They were at war when this happened, and asking the other party in a political marriage to take responsibility for the deaths of enemy combatants, even if she did do so herself, is extremely petty. And while trying to punish her for the roses was also petty it at least was something she did in another country while they were at peace.

Fun(?) fact: most of that recent flood comes from groups/users controlled directly by MangaDex, without the publishers themselves requesting it.

For example, the Comikey group notes this at bottom of its description:
Note: Comikey is not endorsing MangaDex in any way. These outgoing links are an initiative by MangaDex, and Comikey has no influence or control over this group or the links.

It's a shame they don't trust each other yet, undertandable, but a shame nontheless, i guess the guards would let her pass if she was accompanied by the hero

I've been moving any series that has mangaup manga+ or comickey over to comicx on komikku. I've noticed that over there are a bunch of translators who used to be here and a lot of new series are there and not showing up at all here. Just caught up on Almark as there's a bunch more chapters for it over there.

The only thing mangadex really had going for it is the community and comment section.

That being said, it's interesting to watch the death throws of a well developed site. They just rolled over and are pretending the mercy shotgun isn't aimed squarely in their face.

I talking less about war reparations or something like that more just actually holding grudges.

Like, they all hate her being a demon. But they could be hating her for this specific thing that they would reasonably think she actually did instead of just hating her out of probably justified xenophobia.

She's the only demon we've seen in the series that isn't a psycho killer.
