I wish this wasn't so transparent. For whom exactly has this been written? The readers were made ten times over aware of the danger of Baram's power and that Procell was carefully preparing for it. So, this kind of theater is pointless when we know all of this is a part of the MC's plan, including accepting the center of Baram's (external) power as the meeting place, something that should never realistically be acceptable. This should have all been far more subtle. This is all for nothing but to reveal the details of Procell's scheme, with zero sense of danger.
