We just not even gonna address how fucked this whole "curing death" thing is? There are so many stories about why this is a bad idea. And having the undead soldiers go bring their families back to the city? Imagine hundreds of people who died in war all show up back home months later, trying to convince their families to move to the city they were at war with. This is a horror story

I genuinely can’t tell if this series would be worse or better without Duke

It almost seems like the author is putting all the cool traits you’d normally give to a main character to Duke and just kinda forgetting about the MC…
