Annoying how it was a bit too flawless.

He was so worn out by the first bomb, defusing the second one should have made him faint, and his friend would have had to quit stalling and win on his own accord (or lose by distraction because he's a bit too enamored with MC)

At least that'd have been some drama. Heck, I'd even accepted that his escort would have needed to carry him to the stands so he could just smile faintly at Dill (who could then feel like he was holding the promise of "let me see you win" or whatever that stuff was about). Instead the weakness he felt after gorging himself on the first bomb (and almost drowning, and running across town) was simply brushed under the rug as if it didn't affect him at all.

And if nothing affects him.. well, that's what makes stories meh indeed...
