"My dear boy. that is none of your business what she and i are doing in our spare time. it could be considered as stalking you see? i might report you for this.... or not."
he said harshly to the young man who was starting to annoy him

"Nothing of your f*cking businesses, pal. Now f*ck off and got take care of your own life"

A shame this spineless MC will never say something like this...

I would respect the author so, so much if he had MC respond with "none of your business", but that's obviously not gonna happen.

Wow when did Konishikawa replace Misato as the "MC" I must have missed the memo, unless MC doesn't stand for main character anymore.
But for real tho everyone is so emotionally scarred by chicken shit main characters from so many other series that they subconsciously start calling guys MC when they act nonconfrontational or soft-spoken.

Obviously we know that no workplace harassment or anything bad is going on since we can see everything happening. I'm hoping Shimizu's reason behind asking about it is to make sure Misato isn't being coerced/harassed by their workplace superior coming from a place of genuine concern. He doesn't seem like a bad guy so far as long as he doesn't keep pushing Misato after her rejections, but obviously we're all annoyed because he's throwing a monkey wrench into the gears right when we're getting a bit of romantic headway.

Newsflash, a series can have more than one main character.
You're totally right, no arguments there. I definitely see Misato as the more "main" of the two since we get a lot more of her pov and internal thoughts, but they are definitely both main characters.
I just wanted to joke a bit because I think it's funny seeing everyone call Konishikawa MC like he's a middle school romcom protag getting bullied by the handsome ntr-bait class jock.

I’m gonna be honest, I know we’re dunking on the dude but, that’s a completely valid question? Like I’d also be concerned if a female subordinate was called into their drunken male superiors room late at night. Abuse of authority is a real thing and even though WE know ML is an upstanding dude and that FL came of her own volition, if something WAS shady and I didn’t at least ask I’d feel awful.

Then he probably should be asking the supposed victim, rather than the supposed power-abusing superior, no?
And probably should be doing it in private, rather than in public to boot.

No matter how you slice it, he's in the wrong.

I get your point, but there are things that made his question rubs me the wrong way:

1. He asked him, instead of her. If you want to ask out of genuine concern you'd ask the subordinate first. If she appears under duress, then you might have a case.

2. Related to his decision not to ask her first: he has a motive not to. He's interested in her and she already put a wall between them, he doesn't want his questioning further jeopardize his already infinitesimal chance.

These two things get me to think that he asked (and the way he asked) out of his own interest, and deserves to get told.
