Knowing him, he heard her and just went "Aw she's so sweet, what a nice little girl"Cowards! Both of them!
Though I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually awake for her 3AM "I love you."
Knowing him, he heard her and just went "Aw she's so sweet, what a nice little girl"
I thought it was explained? He used to be married, and he thought the best way to support his wife was to work extra hard and bring home the bacon. He ended up working so much that he was never home, and she divorced him. He decided to change his work ethic to "Hakuna Matata" and that he would never date again.Or he heard it and just thought that there would be no way anyone would ever actually love him. The guy has some sort of emotional baggage that hasn't really been explained in depth and until he can get over that they won't get anywhere.
Sure, she needs to be a bit more proactive, but she also needs to toe a fine line so that he isn't put off or make things awkward at work.
I hate how people in seinen romcoms are in their mid 20s acting like teenagers and blushing over slighty touching their crush's hand by chance; despite both of them already having sexual experience.I remember somewhere in the mangadex forums someone asking if shounen romances where being seinen-ified, and I retorted that, from my perspective, seinen romances were being shounen-ified.
This manga is probably the best example for my argument. 33 chapters in, the protagonists completely alone in their apartment, after a bath, and absolutely nothing happens. Even shounen romcoms are more daring than this - they might at least have a lucky sukebe moment, some lewd hand-holding or arbitrary fan-service. Meanwhile, FMC keeps being more passive than a Escape from Tarkov extraction point camper. FMC needs to hand over her adult badge. Her romantic skills are still kindergarten level.
Kids have more skill than her these days. Her romantic skills are still kindergarten level.
