Most manga adaptations of LNs are just promotional material for the LN its adapting, so it's often just planned to end in one volume (which is around 8-10 chapters). If it takes off in popularity, or if the LN is already completed usually it gets more chapters. Otherwise, it ends as intended.

Lol, this reminds me of a QT CN novel. In one life, the MC is born as the Crown Prince, and he does his best to push on the position of Emperor to someone else. He even manages to convince one of his rivals to do the same. The guy who gets the Crown is initially overjoyed, but ends up cursing them both sometime later

Well this manga is mid at best. While the art is ok it lacks motion and feels really stiff. The plot and story is also just ... there? The characters isnt fleshed out at all. And the dialoge is kinda corney.

Dont get me wrong though. I consume mid's like this with a smile and i enjoy this. But its not suprising that a mid gets the axe.
