So, so far we have a few suggestions which I'm just going to collate here and comment on.
"Anime Endings/Openings," which have the suggestion of making them split "Anime OPs" and "Anime Endings". I would like to vote one way or the other but I can't decide. Ultimately it depends how many Ending themes people here have collected. I have several ending themes which are better than the OPs, but overall I keep very few.
Videogame Town or City or Main City or Home themes. Or variations of that. It is very commonplace so the theme isn't that specific despite it sounding so.
It could be generally categorised as
"Videogame Safe Area/Town Themes"
Save Menu/Save Room music. I like the idea, because in my opinion, they all generally share a similar mood to Character Creation, Inventory and Lobby menus – it's more of a focused rhythm than the rest of the soundtrack. If you agree with that, I think that it could be broadened to
"Videogame Menu Themes?"
And then Videogame Shop music, which is something that should tie into the Menu Themes, but often enough Shop/Interaction/NPC themes are (in various games) uniquely matched to the gameworld environment. I'm no expert on it though since I don't really keep those kinds of interaction themes when I hear them.
At least, that's my take on it.
I just wanted to add what I thought was some useful context because I like all these suggestions.
And now a few suggestions that I better post before going through a day cycle and finding this thread in chaos again.
"Cartridge Game Music" — like Gameboys, old consoles, etc
"Licensed Songs in Films and Videogames" — specifically regarding those which have complete original soundtracks but licensed existing songs for their Intros or Credits or so on. An example being
The Heavy - Short Change Hero
And
"Chilled BGM in Any Media" ¯\_(˘⌣˘)_/¯
Well, I'm listening to it currently so of course I'm putting it here. An example being basically all of the Samurai Champloo soundtrack.
