The Doberman kinda reminds me of my cousin's german shepard.
According to the dog, the totem pole of the "pack" went: My cousin => The dog => The rest of the family. The dog spends most of it's time guarding and/or herding the children. One time, when they were at the beach, the baby started to wander off and the dog went over to it, picked it up by the diaper, and carried it back.
