@Dragou okay so you’re being hella rude for someone I didn’t know existed before your stupid comment. Also apparently you don’t understand things as much as you thought you did because you’re argument for their actions is based on some seriously stupid assumptions.
So you’re saying the Head Magician has no right to make the decisions you did, correct, he doesn’t. However he DID make these decisions which is a clear act of hostility and may either mean someone gave him permission to be so hostile (the king) or he never reported to the king. Only in the second case would it be a good idea to still try to reach the king and make him aware then request for help but these three people have no way of knowing which situation it was right? Imagine it turns out to be the first (but because it’s a manga like this it probably won’t) and they go charging into enemy territory, get surrounded by an army and die or barely escape.
Now for the part where you said that Threnvale is the only place for Lord Greed’s country to gain help from. This may not necessarily be true. The reason they came to Threnvale is because our fl is from there and they thought it might help sway them, it’s not necessarily true that there aren’t other countries that could help. Also even if it was the only country that could help, running in rashly like that would be a horrible idea anyway.
And the whole “destroy the kingdom” thing? I never said that. I said they should come back with an army or Lord Greed himself and apparently your political and military senses are too blunt to realize that I meant to bring a show of power so that they know they have to negotiate.
Having an army stationed outside the walls of Threnvale would give the king the incentive required to start negotiations and not just ignore them like he could do if these two rashly jumped in. It doesn’t mean the army has to be put to use (and is best if it isn’t) but this is the most assured way of at least getting to talk to the other side. Also if you say something along the lines of “but gathering an army to march will take resources that they don’t have” well that’s why it’s okay to replace the army with Lord Greed. He’s not much help as king anyway since he has no idea about human affairs and what to do. Appointing a stand-in for a while and going on this trip would be well worth it since he’s the best intimidation factor, offense and defense so he’s flexible for any situation. Also this does not “make all other countries your enemy” because those countries understand politics and military strategy as well and if reached to a peaceful conclusion this won’t affect them at all but even if the kingdom is taken over they’d only be as wary of them as any other kingdom in war (plus the added “dragon king” wariness).
I hope you read my comment again and again so you start to understand all the flaws in your political understanding.
