Author hack: if you don’t want to bother creating believable ways your protagonist can survive, just give them a skill that gives them unlimited luck. Then you can just write off any contrivance as “his luck is so insane!”

Might as well just make Gaile invulnerable to all damage by now. Luck skills alone render characters narratively untouchable.

Gaile is officially Rincewind from Discworld or Ciaphas Cain from 40k.

Luck skills just mean that autors can put characters through monumental amounts of shit and through journeys of epic scale that they have no business coming out of in one piece... Though I doubt that any mangaka would have the balls to do this

I would partially agree on Rincewind. He has the Wizzard's favor of the Lady, but has the personality of Two Flower.

I mean, with how they explained it, at least it makes more sense to have it as a low-rate chance skill then passing it off as OP skills the Character manages to perfect and becomes another "because he's the main character" ¯\(ツ)/¯
