I hope they fall in love more quickly than the average gl manhua. A lot of them drag it out too long that it gets very annoying.
It would also be nice if they explored the concept of sexual orientation more than just "why not suck eachother's faces because who cares what society says." It's a valid reason but it would be really interesting for mc to question her orientation as deeply as possible and face some drama as a result. A lot of times there's no real pushback by the people around them. It lasts 2 chapters and then everything gets resolved super quickly.
I'm talking reading literature on it, discussing it with confidants and faux step-mom and her dad, maybe co-workers too. Figuring out if she's bi, gay or specifically only attracted to the step-mom.
I'm sick right now so I might be thinking about gl fluff manga and getting it completely wrong. If so, I'm sorry in advance.

You can't make a gl in which fmc's fl is literally her stepmom, her going so aggressively after what is technically her daughter, while her husband is perfectly healthy and they arent divorced or anything is just plain weird, that's not something where you can make romance work (for me personally at least) 😐
Also, sexual orientation doesn't seem to be a focus here, considering the stepmom couldn't be any more gay than she already is

I get where you're coming from, but in this case I wouldn't be surprised if Taotao had known of her own sexuality for years now and might have never had to go through any panic or drama about it, simply because of her personality. She's pretty straightforward and simple. There's also the fact that Taotao did stop to wonder if Su Man was into women when she noticed her interest towards her could be romantic, but her own sexuality didn't cross her mind- probably because it's already set and a known fact for her. This isn't a coming of age story, she's a college student already. Kinda late for the questioning drama.
They'll for sure have to deal with pushback from society though- when the tomboy girl gave her the letter, a bunch of people freaked out, including other participants, the tv hosts and even the producers were mentioned. Taotao didn't even flinch though, she was totally ok with the implications.
The weird envious girl that's trying to undermine Taotao will probably try to out the couple, blackmail them or something in between.
