The party is still exploring a treasure vault. They thought they were done so Liz bounced, then some strong enemy showed up. Sitry left to watch Liz and the rest are still there. This has already been explained, it's just five years of publishing this manga has been like a month in this world, if that. This arc is book 3, the party finally comes home at the end of book 5. Cry is good with relics, but it's not really a power. He's talentless, things just sort of work out because everyone else is so impressive and he gets absurdly lucky.

He's indeed weak, "abnormally" weak to be exact.

I don't know if the author is planning anything with this setting so I will put this in spoiler just in case but his body is abnormal in a bad way because normally just by venturing into the vault will make you stronger by absorbing the mana in the vault so theoretically even if Krai didn't do anything when he was still venturing the vault, he should still have some combat power just by EXP sharing but his body actually can't absorb the mana for some reason.

Again, I don't know if there's any secret in his body that author is planning to reveal down the line or it was just another quirk that author give him to make him as weak as possible.

pretty sure it already explained in previous Chapter especially in the first arc. he can wield any relics without consequences and use it power to it full without limit. he can exhaust any relic in single use and pull strongest effect it can perform. like the flaming sword, depen it wielder it can emits flame when used. but in his hand, it becomes single inferno slash (unfortunately he only burn out it mana since he didn't intend to use it). when again the golem, his protection ring that supposedly reduced damage taken turn into single use damage blocker and reflect the damage to the source (ultimately Destroy the golem itself in process).
had he aint Coward he's unstoppable with correct amount relics he use (his collection already surpassed royal vault lol)

As I understand it, its because he has a lot of training with relics. Understandable because he has like 500. The average high level hunter have 3-5. He has just way more experience. That's why he seems a lot more proficient than anyone else.
